The mission of Cedarfield and Pinnacle Living is “Enriching Life’s Journey”
At Cedarfield, our sense of community is exemplified by our team’s commitment to service and hospitality. In our community, age does not define the person. Team members and volunteers go the extra mile every single day to provide services and programs to enhance the quality of life for our residents. In turn, the residents provide the heart, soul, and purpose that makes Cedarfield a premier active retirement community.
Cedarfield opened in September 1996 — celebrating more than 24 years of service to the Richmond community and continue to expand our services and offerings.
Cedarfield was built upon the foundation of Pinnacle Living’s 70-year history. Pinnacle Living is a not-for-profit provider of retirement living in Virginia since 1948.
Cedarfield, as part of Pinnacle Living, has a mission that is very important to us — The Samaritan Program provides financial assistance to residents who have outlived their monetary resources and, through no fault of their own, can no longer afford the full cost of their care.
Benevolent assistance has been given in Pinnacle Living communities since 1948, the year the organization was founded. Current estimates of people over the age of 100 in this country are as high as 72,000, and the number is only expected to grow. Yet with ever-increasing longevity, more and more of us wonder if we will be able to financially support ourselves into our 80s, 90s, even possibly our 100s. Financial reversals and unforeseen circumstances can be contributing factors to needing help from the Samaritan Program.
You can have a vital role in the continuation of this legacy through a gift to the Samaritan Program. 100% of contributions to the Samaritan Program are tax deductible and go directly to the financial support of residents in need and are not used for operational, capital, or administrative costs. All gifts to the Samaritan Program are tax deductible gifts and help us ensure the personal security and peace of mind for our most vulnerable residents.
There are a number of ways to make a gift:
- Outright contribution
- Gifts by trust or wills
- Life insurance policy
- IRA or stock
Contributions can be made online with a credit or debit card or by check. To donate by check, please make your check payable to Pinnacle Living, noting “Samaritan Fund” in the memo line, and mail to:
