Local Richmond area artists converged at Cedarfield on a partly cloudy Friday in May (no rain!) to create fabulous artwork of our lovely grounds. Residents and guests had the opportunity to leisurely stroll while observing these talented individuals at work. Cedarfield residents were certainly put to the test by Jay Quel, director of Facilities Management at Cedarfield. Which department has been around the longest? That was the question asked by many at the display done by all Cedarfield departments, explaining how and when they evolved at Cedarfield. Residents enjoyed talking to employees and learning (and seeing) interesting information. By the way, Marketing was the first – starting in 1992!

Marketing hosted a “trip back in time,” for residents and guests, taking them on a journey back to 1991 when Cedarfield was in the early concept stage through its opening in September 1996. Cedarfield resident vols were recognized for their time and talent in celebration of National Voluteerism Week. Some came in costume as their favorite cowboy/cowgirl, but all enjoyed great food and fellowship. Thanks to all the Cedarfield volunteers who go above and beyond every day to make this community so special.
